SALVATION UNTO US HAS COME

Salvation unto us has come by God's free grace and favor.
Good works cannot avert our doom; they help and save us never.
Faith looks to Jesus Christ alone, who did for all the world atone;
He is our one Redeemer.

Since Christ has full atonement made and brought us to salvation.
Each Christian may therefore be glad and build on this foundation.
Your grace alone, dear Lord, I plead; Your death is now my life indeed.
For you have paid my ransom.

As Christmas has become the time for exchanging gifts, the New Year has become the time to make resolutions that will improve the quality of life. Many Christmas gifts are trivial, soon worn out, cast off, forgotten. Many New Year's resolutions unfortunately meet the same fate.

But as faithful Christian believers, we take comfort in the realization that the most precious Christmas gift of all - our Lord Jesus - is with us forever. His appearance on earth, His sinless life, and His sacrificial death and life-giving resurrection are God's resolution to save us from certain doom and to be with us always. We are indeed richly blessed.
Thank you, God!

We are privileged then, to thankfully and gladly follow His will by resolving to share the Good News of this wonderful gift with others. This is a resolution that, through the blessing of God's grace, we can keep!

We forgiven sinners at Bethel Lutheran Church will be happy for you to join us as we hear the Holy Word of our Lord and Savior, receive His grace, and worship Him in return. Come and experience the joy with us!
