Tell the Next Generation
(Our Sustained Giving Stewardship Emphasis)
Our Theme is based on Psalm 78:4b,6 We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power and the wonders He has done . . so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.
This is not only the theme, it is the purpose of our sustained giving stewardship emphasis which will support the relocation and building on the new site on FM 158.
Relocation is nothing new for Bethel. In our sixty year history, we've done it twice before. Relocation and building are in our DNA.
Both times for the same reasons:
- Out of room
- Increase in opportunity to minister to one another and future generations
- Increase our opportunity to reach out to the community now and for decades to come.
We're at it again:
- Out of room for the long run
- New facilities will increase ministry to our families and generations to come
- New facilities and site will offer greater opportunity to touch people with the Gospel- immediately and into the future.
We want to Tell the Next Generation of the praiseworthy deeds of God. The next generation not only includes those who follow us, but also those who at this time don't have a relationship of faith with God through Jesus. People need to hear the Good News of God's action. God is worthy of our efforts that He might be glorified.
For the last 25 years or more, we've been reaping the benefits of those who sacrificed to give us our present facilities.
Now it's time for us to step up and out and do what's necessary as we take our place in the line of those who sacrificed before us. They built not just for themselves but for those who would follow. They left something substantial for their children and grandchildren. We are the present beneficiaries.
This is a history making moment for Bethel. We have the opportunity to be a part of something greater than ourselves so that Bethel can Tell the Next Generation too.
You are a part of this - blessings you are receiving right now, and blessings you will leave behind. This is a once in a generation, maybe lifetime opportunity.
Bethel needs you-your interest,
a sacrificial gift of your time,
a sacrificial gift of your energy, and
a sacrificial gift of your money.
All are important.
All are necessary.
