Curriculum
Bethel Lutheran Church uses the Concordia Publishing House Growing in Christ curriculum for the 2 year olds through the High School department. During the School year the lessons are divided up as follows:
Fall (up to Advent) - Lessons are taken from the Old Testament
Advent to Christmas - Events leading up to the birth of Jesus are studied
Christmas to Easter - Stories from the life of Christ are gone over, culminating in the
Easter account
Post Easter to Summer - Post Resurrection stories as well as stories from the Book of Acts.
This curriculum places a premium on not only staying true to the Biblical accounts, but also deals with the application of the lessons to be learned for our lives. Lessons are age-appropriate, with all students covering the same section of Scripture each Sunday in order to assist the family in discussion.
